The Mission!!

Hello and thank you for visiting my site. I decided to develop this website, because I always desired a way to connect with other Sickle Cell Anemina Survivors. My mission is to tell my story and be the voice for the ones who have no voice, as well as the ones who have spoken and are not heard. I always believed that for every persons experience, there are many, many more who may be experiencing something similar. I am not a doctor, but I've lived with this disease for 40 years and there are a lot of links that can give you a more in depth understanding from the medical aspect. I pray that my site will inform those who don't know about Sickle Cell Anemia and enlighten other on what we as Sickle Cell Anemia patients endure. One of these ways is sharing stories and experiences with one other through this site, and in doing so I hope somehow this will bring my readers closer to understanding not just just the "medical" aspect of this horrible disease, but allow each reader to understand what SCA is about from a patient's view.

For the Medical Professional who sincerely understand
"Thank You."

For the Medical Professional who has not yet made the connection,

"See Us as Individuals & Understand Who We Are."

If one person is enlightened from my efforts, my mission is accomplished.

I dedicate this website to my brother Fred.

"I miss you, and love you!"
NEVER FORGOTTEN
